Families
Good Beginnings’ suite of programs offer a continuum of care throughout every state and territory in Australia. Depending on the range of services offered at each centre, parents can transition from one to another according to their needs. Our Early Years Centres (an integrated ‘one stop shop’) are community based sites that provide a range of support, information, advocacy and referral services from a central location.
Our Programs
Early Childhood Programs
Group activities for children and their parents or carers, facilitated by professional staff with a focus on providing high quality, age appropriate developmental experiences.
For Parents
Play-based and educational parent groups that help build the self esteem of all family members and enhance relationships between parents and their children.
Family Support in Your Home
A service for parents requiring extra support one-on-one in their home.
Community Programs
These programs seek to enhance participation and give control of decisions and resources to the community. They are designed to create a proactive community who are able to intervene positively in a child's life, particularly at critical transition points.
Early Intervention
Most of the ‘wiring’ in the human brain that supports lifelong learning and behaviours is in place by the age of 6 (McCain & Mustard, 1999). Help your child with an Early Childhood Program
Early Home Learning Study
Good Beginnings works to deliver the Parent Research Centre early home learning study.
Growing up in Australia
A major study following the development of 10,000 children and families from all parts of Australia.
