Intensive Family Support
Programs that provide professional support and parenting intervention to families with complex needs over an extended period of time.
Aims
- Support needs may relate to understanding and managing a child’s behaviour and emotional responses, establishing child and parent routines, adjusting to a new baby.
What happens
- Discussion-based support to understand and clarify problems, and to plan strategies to evaluate their implementation.
- Case management.
- Linking to other specialist services.
Who comes?
Additional professional support for client families already attending a Play & Learn and Volunteer Family Support Programs. For families with a child or children aged 0-5 years.
