Volunteer Home Visiting
A service for parents of young children, where the family is partnered with a trained and locally supervised volunteer (Community Parent) who visits for 2 hours each week for up to 12 months.
Aims
- The support provided in this program can help with stress by providing someone who will walk along beside you as you face the challenges and joys of parenting.
What happens
- Weekly visit of 2 hours from a volunteer who provides emotional and practical support
- Ongoing support and communication with Program Coordinator to help establish what you want from the support
Who comes?
Families who are experiencing isolation, parenting alone or early, multiple births, disabilities, difficulty with parenting issues, challenges adjusting to a new baby, Indigenous families, families who are new to Australia.
