Anangu Pitijatjara Yattalunga Parent Participation in Schools
This activity explores common myths around school engagement for families from the Anangu Pitijatjara Yattalunga lands and builds capacity for engaging with their children's school.
Aims
- Provide strategies to enable effective communication between parents and the school. Parents will also have the opportunity to develop ways of encouraging their children to attend school.
What happens
The project offers workshops and short programs for families and parents to participate in such as:
- Deadly Nutrition
- Basic computing skills
- Financial literacy
- Play & Learn sessions
Who comes?
This activity is for the Anangu Pitijatjara Yattalunga community that reside within the western suburbs of Adelaide. Future programs will cover broader community groups to enable effective practice within the Western Suburbs.
