My Time

A support group for families with a disability or chronic medical condition.

Aims

• Share experiences in a safe and friendly environment.
• Program set by the participants
• Free childcare provided.

What happens

• Families completely drive the direction and activities of the group on a term by term basis.
• Some activities have involved craft, ceramics, massages for the parents, excursions to the movies, bowling and lunch.
• At the parents request there is also an option to bring in service providers to talk about specific topics.
• Lunch and/ or afternoon tea is provided in the group.

Who comes?

This activity is open for all families of the Playford Council area who are caring for a child (under the age of 16) with a disability or chronic medical condition.
