Fundraising
By fundraising for Good Beginnings, you can take an active role in helping us continue and grow our early-intervention programs for Australian children.
You can set up a fundraising event through our Everyday Hero page, which allows you to collect donations from your supporters online, by credit card. You can set up your own fundraising page and your friends, family and colleagues can post messages of support when they donate to your event.
If you want to be collect cash donations on our behalf, you will need to complete an
‘Authority to Fundraise’ application
. We will check your request, let you know if we have any questions, and then issue an ‘Authority to Fundraise’ to you with instructions on how to manage donations raised on behalf of Good Beginnings.
Here are just a few fundraising ideas (we’re sure you can think of more!):
- Have friends, family & work colleagues sponsor you for a race (fun run, marathon)
- Mufti day at work with donation
- Hold a dinner party and ask friends to donate on the night
- Golf day
- Melbourne Cup Sweep – winnings donated
- Quiz day or night
- Christmas card donation – ask family, friends & colleagues to donate and use an eCard instead of spending money on Xmas cards
- Work sports tournament – entry fees donated
- Coin collection – to gather up all that loose change at work (we can send you the stickers to put on your collection jar or box)
- Sausage sizzle
- Walk-a-thon – get people you know to sponsor you for every km you walk
- eBay – sell things you don’t need and donate the proceeds. Get people you know to do the same
- Wine tasting night with entry fee
- Teddy Bear’s picnic – organise with kids bringing their favourite teddy, and charge parents an entry fee for the event
- What else can you think of?
Thanks for your support! Your contribution to Good Beginnings positively impacts on the lives of Australian children.
