Volunteer
Good Beginnings relies on the support of volunteers across the country to help us achieve our mission.
Volunteering opportunities include:
Community Parent Volunteers
Our trained and locally supervised community parent volunteers offer assistance to the parents of young children, often in the family home. This one-on-one support helps stressed and anxious parents to become more confident in their parenting role. Issues addressed may include isolation, difficulty adjusting to parenthood, multiple births, or a child with a disability. Community Parents complete a comprehensive training program before being linked with a family, and are supervised by a trained family support worker. Our Community Parents are special people who provide invaluable support – if you are interested in become a community parent, contact us at enquiries@goodbeginnings.org.au
Casual and Corporate Volunteers
Interested in helping out? Our casual or corporate volunteers often run book and toy drives to provide resources to our program sites. Other opportunities to assist include helping to set up a new program site (painting, organising), or helping to organise family days.
We also welcome volunteers with specialised skills in areas such as IT, administration, and marketing, to support Good Beginnings at a head office level. The funds we save in these areas through pro-bono support help us to sustain and grow our early-intervention programs.
