Gift Card Donations

Do you have gift cards you can’t use? Or only have a small amount left on a gift card and it is just sitting in your wallet or purse?

Your gift card could make a real difference to supporting the work of Good Beginnings – we are able to collect gift cards worth any amount and process them under our Gift Card Donation Program.*

We will either be able to convert the amount on the card in to cash, or if this is not possible, use the card to purchase goods that are essential to maintaining our early-intervention programs. For example, if you were to gift a book store card, we might be able to purchase children’s books to support our early childhood ready-for-school programs. Or a petrol station gift card would help staff and community parents travel to support families in their homes.

How does it Work?

1. Send us your unwanted or surplus gift card/s at PO Box K969, Haymarket, NSW 1240, attention to ‘Good Beginnings Gift Card Program’

2. Make sure you include the following details with your gift card:

  • The amount left on the card (if known),
  • your full name and address,
  • contact phone number and
  • email address

3. We will send you our thanks!

Remember that pesky extra plastic card sitting in your wallet or purse? Send it to Good Beginnings today and make a difference to the lives of Australian children.

*Some gift cards may not be processed if retailer or supplier terms & conditions in any way exclude Good Beginnings from doing so. Note that because the cards are a non-cash gift, they are not tax-deductible. Therefore Good Beginnings does not issue a tax deductible receipt for gift card donations. Gift cards with values of less than $30 remaining will generally be used directly with the retailer or supplier on goods to support Good Beginnings. If the card can be converted to cash, the amount Good Beginnings receives depends on the time left to expiry and the actual retailer or supplier involved.
